Our Language

We use the Syriac language in our Church rituals to this day, the language of our ancestors from the Mesopotamia, which today corresponds to southern Turkey from Antioch the west to Hakkari and Urmiya to the east, and also  Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and northern Iran. The Arabic translation has entered the liturgy ritual since the 18th century, as has the western languages recently entered our communities in Europe, North and South America and Australia.
